Quiet Start to March, but Cheltenham has helped.   Leave a comment

I set myself a target of £400 this month given Cheltenham, but I have had such a quiet start to the month this might prove difficult.

Although to be fair at the half way point, I should be close to £200, but that includes Cheltenham profits.

On balance, for me anyway, Cheltenham has been a little disappointing, a few good offers but a few of the larger bookmakers seem to have been quiet on the offer front.

Coral have had daily small offers for existing customers, I have not managed to do them all but it has given me some profit.

William hill have 2nd place refunds, which I have not taken advantage of at all and have had some price boosts, though they did give me a £10 matched free bet for the first day, which required qualification on the Saturday before. They have also done their usual Casino / Vegas offers.

Ladbrokes, have been both light on offers and poor on odds.

Fred’s offers have seemed very poor, not placed a single bet with him.

Stan same as Fred.

Paddy Power have had a few good offers. But the three pence I am able to place thwarted me here.

Big Vic had a few offers, of the big players he has been the best for me.

Betfair have had a few offers, as is usual with BF these days, the offers were complex and awkward to extract profit from, but there was good profit there still. Didn’t do them though, didn’t have the time. :/

The best offers seem to have come from smaller bookies like Apollobet and 32Red. It seems however the MSE crowd have killed the Apollo offer for the last day, it seems the sheer volume of punters trying to bet on the free bet race, not only killed the website, but also killed their profit margin.

All in all with Chelts just about over I have made perhaps £150 out of it. Not anywhere near as much as I had hoped, but given I am at work and unable to gamble during the day, no surprise I guess.

I will post an analysis of the halfway point of the month later and give myself a plan to get the final £200 profit I want from March.
